how do I record and classify plants?
Record wild flowers, trees and plants using the free iNaturalistUK app (available on App Store and Google Play), which is very easy and straightforward to use. Simply photograph a plant and the app will help you identify what you see. This will then be stored as one of your observations.
We are interested in recording plants that are likely to have existed at the time the area was part of the Friern Manor Farm Estate, such as wildflowers, grasses, weeds and old trees. Plants that have been introduced to the area after 1865 will not form part of the research project. However, if you are unsure please do include them.
When collecting data, please follow the Botanical Society for Britain and Ireland Code of Conduct.
